Description:

These twelve tracks from the Dutch drum/guitar/sample duo combine the unsettling and the explosive – simultaneously unpredictable, yet rhythmically pulsating art-rock delivered with lung-scorching vocal intensity and rib-rattling guitar drones. A challenging yet rewarding sonic experience from a band famed for a teeth-grittedly intense live set.

Addition Information:

THE MOI NON PLUS are a LOUD drum/guitar/sample duo from Amsterdam with a sound informed by THE LAPSE, TV ON THE RADIO, BLONDE REDHEAD and SONIC YOUTH; they have toured through England, Germany, Belgium, Spain and the USA, played international festivals such as POPKOMM, SXSW, CMJ and MOTEL MOZAIQUE and opened for the likes of QOTSA, LIARS and …TRAIL OF DEAD.

Press:

musicOMH: "The Moi Non Plus serve as rowdy and dissonant - but nonetheless welcome - reminders that one guitarist plus one drummer do not necessarily equal recycled blues riffs when a bit of art-rock aggression and neo-punk discontent are added to the equation"

Drowned In Sound: "a dissonant aural treat; what The Moi Non Plus has done well is explore the limitations of their sound. They’ve take what is at heart a simple set up and expanded upon it for maximum effect. Amid the clanging and chime are interesting sounds, a hidden depth and textures to be found only through multiple listens."

Supersweet: "Shot through with angst and sedated by their saturation in anti-pop, The Moi Non Plus patchworks the cutting-room keepsakes of this generation. Their empire expands."
