Description:
'Plutonium' is a deftly crafted tale which showcases the vocal talent of OKS' Chris McConaghy in breathtaking fashion. Broken, vamped chords tumble over an aching lyric which describe perfectly the elemental joy of falling in love (again?). Images of boyhood flutter into view throughout the track and our singer's 'dreams of plutonium' could perhaps be a metaphor for the elemental joy of finding a soulmate to watch the world with.
Additional Information:
The second single to be taken from Our Krypton Son's debut eponymous album, 'Plutonium' is available as limited edition, coloured vinyl 7" and digital download. Both versions are backed with the previously unreleased 'Nowhere' and 'As I Fade Away'.
Press:
'With it's piano and vocal style calling to mind Suede's "By the Sea", with a vocal style that seems to sit somewhere in the murky water between E from Eels and Damon Albarn.' - The Metaphorical Boat
