Jetplane Landing come of age on their third studio album, recorded at the legendary Southern Studios with Harvey Birrell (Therapy?, Shudder To Think, Buzzcocks). The band make a stratospheric artistic leap on 'Backlash Cop' - the follow up to 2003's critically lauded 'Once Like A Spark' and 2001's 'Zero For Conduct'. Bristling with creative energy the quartet somersault and back-flip through genres on their most eclectic offering yet. From the old school hip hop of title track 'Backlash Cop' to the Minutemen-checking funk of 'Lungs Of Punk'; the classic soul groove of 'Sam Cooke' versus the spoken word provocation of 'Us And The Ringside Stars' this is a thrilling ride.

Jam-packed, with historical references both lyrically and musically the band ambitiously tackle subject matter as diverse as Dizzy Gillespie's 1964 US presidential campaign to frustration at not hearing enough Les Savy Fav on the radio.
