Description:

Staggering work of heartbreaking electro genius - debut album by Britain's soon to be not best kept secret Alan MX.

Addition Information:

Alan MX combines Thom Yorke melodic sensibility with thumping Peaches breaks, 'Warpsichord' is a study of skittering beats, jittering string samples and lyrics that touch on the subtle nuances of love and relationships in the 21st century. Alan MX is a musician that is easy to take to one's heart - “When I think about it, most music is an expression of love. Or songs, anyway. The most common subject of a song is love or lust. If someone was to renounce or ignore their sexuality as a musician, I think it limits their accessibility.”

Open, honest, gorgeous and with the tunes to match, Alan MX is one to watch.

Press:

Gay Times: "Patrick Wolf had better watch out..."

The Prize Fighter: "On his debut effort, tragic lyrics are earnestly delivered against a backdrop of joyous whirring and chirping. Great!"

The 4O5: "Enter Alan MX, British musician, pop songster, and skittish electrofiend, and maybe one of the last saving graces to make the curio a reality. While his bizarre use of double tracks (a la The Halo Benders) immediately strikes the ear as his calling card, in fact the use of nicely and delicately warped strings is what roots his Warpsichord album, which has a title all too fitting." 7/10
