Mnemotechnic

Les Inrockuptibles: "MNEMOTECHNIC. Party People.Shrill and convulsive rock that makes you dance like you have a gun to your head: Brest's biting response to The Rapture and Sonic Youth's New York."

Mnemotechnic is a rock band from Brest, France. "Awards", their first album, was recorded by Miguel Constantino, mixed by Stéphane Laporte and masterised by Ivan Chiossone. Mnemotechnic started in 2009: four musicians got together and created a strong and singular rock identity. Mnemotechnic draws its inspiration from the sincere anger of the tough, noisy and punk rock of At The Drive In, Refused, Nirvana and Sonic Youth, blended with the dancing coolness of Foals, The Rapture or Bloc Party. The year 2010 was a year of work. More than 40 gigs all around France and Belgium made them develop a strong and powerful show. They can now manage every kind of stage, from clubs to festivals. 2010 was also the time of completion of their first album, recorded in October. 2011 and 2012 are going to be important. It's time to widely promote their album and perform more and more shows. Mnemotechnic's rock is straight: on stage, eye to eye with the audience, in the heat, in the distortion, through a piercing high voice, they're delivering a true energy, an electric storm.
