Kidd Blunt were a four-piece post-hardcore group from Wicklow, Ireland. Formed in 1998, Kidd Blunt consisted of singer/guitarist, Eoin Whitfield, guitarist, Turlough Fortune, bassist, Luke Henry and drummer, Stephen Hughes. James Eger replaced Henry in 2005. The group’s intricate riffs, dissonant chords and abrasive vocals invited comparison with Fugazi and At the Drive-In and led to numerous tours across Europe during their 11-year stint. They released an EP entitled ‘82’ in 2002. The album, ‘Grey, Black, Grey’, was self-released in 2006 and formally re-released in 2009 on Dublin label the Richter Collective to coincide with the group’s farewell gigs.
