Hooray For Humans
Male/female synth rock group from Cork.
Hooray for Humans are a four-piece synth-pop act from Cork, Ireland. Formed in 2005, the band were named after a song by post-punk band Q And Not U. The group consists of singer/guitarist, Alan Healy, singer/keyboardist, Jen Connell, bassist, Matt Hedigan and drummer, Lewis Hedigan. Hooray for Humans’ male-female vocal dynamic is reminiscent of compatriots Ham Sandwich, though their influences are steeped in US indie rock and post-hardcore. They released their debut album, ‘Safekeeping’ in 2007 on Cork label Out on a Limb Records.
